This is a superb example of a poem for the firefly jar: beautiful words (thistle string - Oh my!), eloquent ideas, and a delicate balance of lines. I love the image of the stone among the lambs ears and impatiens.
The stone's poem is something all by itself, but the words you drew from it are even more ethereal and magical...this is one of the most 'firefly-like' of the examples I've read--just lovely and luminous. 'in our luxury' indeed.
Wow, wow!! You gotta know how much I love this. The stone written beauty...I love the brevity and your expansion on it is gorgeous also...I'd love to see inside your mind.
nice...pretty cool little twist of words...the fallen stars...yet much more beautifully put....nice to see you ma'am...smiles.
ReplyDeletebeautiful indeed!

It does have a tone of legend and mystic wisdom~ :D
We need a nudge now and then to appreciate the gift of sight and then wonder how what we can see can be described so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteLovely......and the pic too.....just lovely....
ReplyDeleteI read yesterday, then marked this to come back. Who are we, indeed? This is a perfect rendition of "Judge not lest ye be judged."
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea to write poetry fragments on a few stones scattered about a flower garden. I will have to do that next year. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and so moving. Glad I stopped by.
