A recent resort, not so far away from home.
Falling into a lucid picture
at King's Beach, North Lake Tahoe,
where I think we found gold.
Morning view at our door
Synchronized, the oldest two
Dancing in the clouds
a snow-capped view
laughter as my company
The millions who've seen
the wash, undo
Trampoline play in the belly of the blue
Wandering into
the light of morning dew
tracing liquid hue,
a taste of frothy air
inside, an angel's view
inside, an angel's view
A recipe for a perfect holiday, captured with a set of lovely pictures. Can't help but be green with envy.
ReplyDeleteYes, a part of my heart is lost out there with the current. :)
DeleteI love the way you interpret your experiences in life in such a wonderful way and applaud the "ooo" sound as is repeated here as though you cannot believe how beautiful it all is!
ReplyDeleteThis one did blow me away, we all felt a little hollow having to leave. I think that is what summer is!
DeleteTruly lovely, both in words and pictures! I wanted to join you on your holiday, you make it so very inviting! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was dreamy. :)
DeleteLovely photos and lovely poetry to describe them. I echo Old Egg's admiration for repetition of the "ooo" sounds, whether or not you intended what we read into it.
ReplyDeleteThere was a little scribble I wrote on the beach, really no other way to express it.
DeleteThanks for visiting me!
oh wow that looks like so much fun....lots to do and beautiful vistas...less than a month from vacay here...
ReplyDeleteYes, it was a thrill...I hope you have a blast where ever you head to!
Deletemissouri...staying at a time share my parents gifted us...horse back and waterslides....
DeleteSounds like fun, enjoy! :)
DeleteAs I read this the rain is beating on my window! A delightful piece.
ReplyDeleteKeith, thank you. :)
DeleteI have been to Tahoe many times and have always wanted to return. Your words and pictures are a description of a Eureka place that should be in travel brochures.
ReplyDeleteYes, and a place that should forever stay blue. I'm happy to know that you have been there.
DeleteGorgeous! Love this: "The millions who've seen
ReplyDeletethe wash, undo"
I'm sure, the current is so powerful, I know that there are parts that heal and parts that we are not able to let go of.
DeleteLovely words and pictures!
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks for visiting Belva!
DeleteIt looks as if you discovered a little bit of paradise. The water and sky are stunning. Wonderful that you had all sorts to do on it. I love your descriptions. It's all about sharing, not taking, with nature isn't it.
ReplyDeleteGlad you all had such a lovely time. :)
Yes, it was an adventure, much to do for both little ones and adults. I agree, there is so much to take in without disturbing.
DeleteThank you. :)
Looks truly golden..the idea of a sea trampoline sounds amazing..although not in the English Channel perhaps..brr..Jae
ReplyDeleteI hear it was the best part, I could only take photos and cringe as they landed. We were lucky enough to have a really warm weekend. :)
DeleteI love this! Your photos are beautiful, and I just love your descriptions.
